Without Manning the Broncos have enough talent to get to the playoffs and possibly the AFC Championship. Without Brady this year, the Patriots don't make the post-season.
If both teams stays healthy, they both make the playoffs...without Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Having them just takes the team to the next level, and both teams had to compensate for the large amount of injuries. They both also play in bad divisions, which would make it easier to make the playoffs. Plus, let's be real, there were some terrible teams trying to get into the Wild Card, and either of these teams could have gotten in over them.

Peyton Manning deserved the MVP award more than any other player and it wasn't even close. Jim Miller just went full retard.

Dude, as a broncos fan, you yourself just went full retard with that comment. Denver went 5-1 in a division where three teams made the playoffs. The AFC West was arguably the best division in the NFL this year, and no worse than third.

Jim Miller should have his voting credentials taking away.

Brady was awesome this year.

Came back and beat the Broncos and Saints.

With a bunch of sorry-arse nobody receivers who dropped his passes left and right the 1st half of the season.

And then the 2nd half of the season, all his good players get injured.

He carried that team like in no time in his playing career.

It was okay to vote for him. Not everything is about records against shitty defenses.

It's not like he won MVP either. I really don't get the butt hurt

Peyton's receivers had the third highest drop in the league. I don't care how "sorry" Tom's receivers were because there is literally no logical reason to put anyone besides Manning as MVP.

I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with unanimity. People act like its such a travesty Manning wasn't a unanimous pick or that Maddox wasn't a unanimous pick for the HoF.

This was an interesting year for Tom in my opinion, as you saw both the strengthes/weakness, and the best/worst of him. Early on his uber competitiveness was breaking out, he was yelling at WRs, and showing up the team. After all the injuries on defense; however, he put those rookies on his back. His deep ball was dog shite all year, but was accurate enough on a couple of key plays. He and Belichick took a team that had no business sniffing the playoffs, much less the AFC Championship game, as far as they possibly could.

I don't think he was the MVP, and I don't even think he was a top 3 QB this year. That being said, his leadership was on full display.

I will give Jim Miller credit, he didn't hide his view, and explained it in detail.

This Patriot's team is my all-time favorite. They kept suffering injury after injury and just shook it off. They didn't play the woe is me card, they kept going to every single game assuming they would win. It exemplified why New England is one of the power organizations in the NFL, and in my opinion, is the season that made Belichick a legend.

Agree.

Maybe the Broncos had more drops. I dont' know.

But the first 4 weeks, the Pats receivers were ridiculously bad.

There are a lot of games the Pats had no business winning - but won anyways because Brady really took another step and being a teacher/leader on the field.

Again, voting for him is in no way crazy.

Pats force 4 or 5 turnovers in the 2nd half and overtime, but Brady is going to get the credit in your mind. Brady even failed to generate a drive in OT and had to punt. The punt hit a Bronco, Pats recovered in field goal range, kicked a field goal and won. But Brady gets all of the credit in this scenario in your eyes.

Against the Saints, he had the ball with a chance to drive the length of the field and win. He throws a ball up for grabs and it gets intercepted. Defense forces a three and out on the Saints and Pats get the ball back with enough time to drive down and score. Brady did his part on that final drive but never would have had the opportunity if the Saints get one or two first downs after Brady threw what should have been the game ending interception.

Brady had some pretty horrendous games this year according to advanced metrics and not-so-advanced metrics. He only put up good passing stats when he had Gronkowski. They won the playoff game with good defense and running the ball 43 times for over 200 yards and 6 touchdowns. He had less than 200 yards and no touchdowns. He then played terribly against the Broncos.

Why does he get such a blowjob from so many even when he sucks?

Sure it probably did, but it still sounds made up that everyone in this thread was advocating it.
