How did Duke manage to get into a conference championship?

I know they are 6-2 in conference play, but so are about 5 other teams. How did they win that tiebreaker?

The ACC got all the way to E on win percentage of conference opponents. The same kind of tie breaker put Bama and UGA into the SEC title game over OM and A&M today.

No idea. The tie-breakers must be crazy because they also avoided most of the good teams in the conference:
Miami, Pitt, Louisville, SMU, plus Notre Dame.
They lost to the only two good teams they played: Georgia Tech and Miami.
They also played NC State in a game outside of ACC play, but lost that that one also.
