Mitch was always gonna be a bridge QB. The Steelers have never thrown their new QB's right into the fire unless circumstances dictate.

The QB abilities between the two aren’t even close. Tomlin looks like a fool for going with Trubisky to start.

Since y’all are so big on context, one of those was a 4 yard drive.
He did look good on the 82-yard drive, but his INT on the late drive that could have iced the game was the difference.

Or the difference was Trubisky putting up 6 points in the first half against a shite defense.
I’m not worried about Picketts INTs. It was his first regular season action for christ’s sake. I just needed to see he can make starting QB caliber throws and he’s showing that.

Tomlin already said the QB is up in the air for next week. He’s dumb as shite if plays Trubisky. The Steelers are going to end up with a top 10 pick regardless who he plays, probably top 5 even.
It can all be summed up as this. The Steelers defense generated 5 turnovers in week 1. Trubisky needed OT to get the win. He doesn’t throw INTs because he only throws to wide open WRs. He is scared to make NFL throws. You aren’t going to win with that type of QB.
You might as well start letting your future QB get 1st team reps.
