I'm cautious about saying we whip their arse like last time, because I still think ULL is a much better team than in 2007.
This is what people forget. We were a 3-9 team that year. We should easily be better than that 2007 team this year. However, that does not at all mean I'm confident the cajuns win this week. We'll see what happens.

I saw McNeese beat Tarleton State last week, I know they're a very watered down DII program here in Texas.
Just changed coaches.
Was expecting McNeese to win by 40+.

I believe McNeese State was undefeated in 2007 and eventually lost in the playoffs.

Yeah, that game stayed close longer than it should have, but I think being the first game with a new coach and several new starters, it wasn't a bad showing.
But yes, Tarleton is not a very good DII team. And from what I understand, they were basically auditioning to move up to the FCS and into the Southland. Guess we will have another Incarnate Word or Houston Baptist on our hands.

Yeah I couldn't tell if McNeese put their foot on the brakes or what happened.
If Tarleton goes FCS, which is a big rumor, it's not for football. It's for basketball. One of the premiere DII basketball programs in the country.

Weren't yall 4-9 last year? It's not crazy to think ULL might not be a great team again.

Correct, they were undefeated again last year until they lost in the playoffs.

Going to be a interesting game.
Yep. It'll be a good storyline no matter what.
ULL wins, then it will be about vindication. If McNeese wins, it will be about Hud. Another 4-8 season and he should be concerned.

Vindication for what?
I assume from the beat down in '07

I can't wait for Saturday. I hope the Cajun fans start shite-talking before the game.
Thought about getting a huge printout of that scoreboard from the 07 game and carrying it around.

I'm looking forward to it as well. Don't know why you'd hope for altercations, but if that makes it more fun for you, I hope you get what you want
It's going to be a fun day for sure though.

I haven't been since 07, what time do people head out there and what's the deal with parking?

Posted on 9/8/16 at 2:24 pm to TigerNlc
People get out pretty early, will definitely be in full swing by noon or 1 I'd think. Can't help you with parking because I usually walk, but I think the easiest thing would be to park in the grass lots by the Hilton on Congress.
