Has there ever been a coach as bad as Vinny Del Negro in regards to timeouts?

The clippers constantly find tbemselves without any TOs with 1-2 mins left. It's so hard to watch. He's been doing it since his Chicago days too.

I don't know how he got the Bulls job in the first place with basically no coaching experience. And then when the Bulls fired him for sucking, he goes around and finds another job.

I am amazed that he is an NBA coach. Most HS coaches are better at Xs and Os and I am serious.

NBA teams are seriously blind when it comes to coaching hires.

A name people have heard of is paramount, even if he's known as a poor coach.

exhibit A:

he's got a good defensive mind, but he's just a mediocre ( at best) coach

Mike Brown like Spolstra or Thibobueu is a defensive minded coach which works great, if you have an average team he'll get the best out of it. But you can't win big with that style.

VDN is just bad in every way.

everyone always talks about how Mike Brown is a good defensive coach. It hasn't shown.

He guy always had the Cavs as a top 5 defensive team and was doing it with scrubs + Lebron.

VDN is bad with TO's but he's on par with most NBA coaches with his X's and O's. The Clippers defense rotates correctly and are capable of making more than one rotation. They are pick and roll heavy on offense but that's because of CP3. I'd like to know what specifically the Clippers do differently than 90% of NBA teams that you see makes VDN's sets subpar.
