PEEEEJ Mich went like 50 years between titles. They didn't fall like FSU or Miami has where they were winning titles every few years. Mich was really really good for a long period of time, but they didnt have a dynasty like period outside of the early 1900's

When Brian Cushing, Clay Matthews, Terrell Thomas, and Rey Maualuga (who played at SC for so long together) all leave the same year, you're gonna need some time to recover.

when LSU lost 4 to the first round after the 2006 season, we needed time to recover too. oh wait

Wouldn't have needed much time if Powell, Vontaze, and Teo were at SC instead of the current crop of linebackers

Nope. It sucks that SC is only great program to have a couple downs years after years of tremendous success. I wish SC could be more like Texas, or Florida, or Miami, or Nebraska, etc who managed to stay at the top of the college football world for their entire existence.

Sorry, but I think USC's fall has been much harder than those other programs...probably because of the impending sanctions:
1. Florida State was the USC of the 90s. But their fall was slow. They played for a title in 2000 and have played in multiple ACC Championship games since. How many losing season's has FSU had?
2. Nebraska fell after 1997, but they made the title game again 2001 before falling off the map
3. Miami? They are the definition of a slow slide. Coker added one more loss each year he was there. Even in 2005 they were ranked #3 in the last week of the season. They have been in and out of the top 25 since
4. Michigan is probably rivals the worst fall off. They had 40 straight bowl games followed by a 3-win season.

This one was even faster.
They went from NC contenders with a Heisman contender/winner to blown out by Colorado to blown out in NCG (which they shouldn't have been in) by Miami. The next season they went 7-7 and were mired in mediocrity until Bo took the reigns.

How many has SC had in this 2 year decline? Zero. What's your point?

Okay, and SC's fall off started last year, so we'll see where SC is in another two years if we're gonna compare them to Nebraska.
