Has the lack of padded practices caused more injuries?

I know it’s caused a lack of good OL play as you see QB get sacked more. The NFLPA collective bargained padded practice time. The NCAA has also limited padded practices over the years.
Not sure if the data supports but it just seems you see more contact driven injuries.

I think it’s that and also that fact that they’ve stressed avoiding helmet to helmet hits, that defenders are hitting at the knee/leg area more than area causing more and more lower body injuries

Probably but you must take into consideration all the lives that have been saved from The Coof.
ETA: Seriously, though, players seem like they need to get calloused and used to the hits before they go into games at full-speed.

We have also seen a lack of tackling from this I feel, combined with rule changes.
I wonder if teams even go thud during the week anymore? It doesn’t seem like it.

This year you can't ignore the lack of a preseason. That's where we usually see a lot of injuries. Instead we're seeing them shift to the regular season.
