its funny how the media shapes the world kayne shite head west called the current president a racist on national TV and no one made a big deal about it. He was on MTV the next day. That idiot Russell Brand called the current president a retard on national tv while begging for the American people to vote for Obama, and he was applauded. Hank makes an anolgy and they drop him? Its funny how all of a sudden people are saying you should not make fun of the POTUS. Most of these people are the same ones who Bashed a president they didn't like ig whoopie Goldburg

Williams said something incredibly stupid and probably offensive to many and the company that uses his face and song quite prominently decided he was a negative that should be brushed aside.
I have no problem with a company covering their arse in that way.
He still has his free speech. He can say what he wants. But when you are a face for a massive corporation (or any company really) you can't just get up on TV and say stupid shite and not expect you may have to pay for it.

dude you are crazy if you think that didnt hurt him.
that immediately ended any chance he could ever reach certain demographics with his music. Now it didnt hurt him so bad it ruined his career b/c he is just that good but it still hurt his ability to broaden his reach.
he also at least had the (bad) excuse of being extremely upset during a crisis situation.
Hank was talking to Fox and Friends. It wasnt during a disaster when emotions were high, he isnt losing his arse financially, he had little excuse for his words other than his own stupidity. He even had a chance to walk it back but didnt.
never mind that his attitude of Dems and Repubs being such great enemies that they cant even talk to each other is flat out idiotic and is part of the major problem we have in the federal government where extremists on both sides make it impossible for anything to get done.

maybe I worded that wrong, Brand may have gotten crap from people but I'm pretty sure neither were dropped from their labels maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they were they Still made albums and movies. Still are hosting things in the public eye and its all but forgotten maybe its the demographic they cater too but I don't see what HWJ said as being offensive and its just someone blowing it out of proportion.
