Yeah, the reason the Redskins are underrated is that all of their best players didn't play glamour positions (well except that Art Monk guy, but he was on his last legs, and Gary Clark was better at that point in time, and Art Monk is also criminally underrated).

Joe Jacoby, Mark Schlereth, Jeff Bostic, Raleigh Mckenzie, Russ Grimm, Jim Lachey, and Don Warren were possibly the best offensive line in NFL history. Charles Mann was an amazing DE, who has been largely forgotten for osme reason. And Wilbur Marshall was an animal. The real strength of that team was that it had no weak links. No one player to pick on. They were deep as hell.

And it's not like they played in some easy division. The NFC East was stout back then. We forget the Redskins used to be awesome, and well-run.

I loved that team. They would methodically beat you down over the course of the game. I'm not sure if they are the best ever (who can ever really say anyways), but they are easily in the top 5 for sure.

Also, Art Monk still had over 1,000 yards that year and 8 tds including over 250 yards and a TD in three playoff games. He was still really solid.

Can't forget Darrel Green either.
