The only thing I can come up with is the fact he's the anti-Saban. They wanted to prove that he could win big without being an a-hole. That he could be friendly with the media and have "fun" instead of being so business like. If Rich Rod beats Pitt and LSU isn't in the BCS Title game in 2007, surely he would have been fired after they went 7-5 in the 2008 regular season, right?

It's sad , because they have to be the center of attention. When Bama fans have an off year, they feel like the kid who didn't get his toy from the toy store. They have had this great run, but it's still not good enough....lol it's never good enough for them.
I'll never forget when the Bama fan called into the Paul Finebuam show and wanted Saban fired because he lost ONE game. Lol one game. That's beyond being spoiled. That's entitlement, like the World owes you something. If they get sore over losing a few games.......I'm afraid how they will react when Saban finally throws in the towel and retires.
Wow, can you even fathom a post Saban life? Lol food will taste better, the air will be fresher, and the woman will seem tighter.
