We make some legit videos. The Adrian Peterson run is always something else to watch, my goodness.

Could be referring to FAU and MTSU. They both are moving on.

I really wonder how long the excitement lasts for folks in Boone & Statesboro.
I'm also curious to see how it shakes out on the field. I've got an odd feeling fans of both expect to step in & win the league. How long do you think folks will be happy w/ just making bowls? Especially given weak bowl tie-ins of Sun Belt.
They used to sell the program by saying you can come here and win titles over being a non-BCS player and having no chance to be a NCAA champion. Now they have to sell on being a non-BCS player.

All you have to do is tell them how much more they will be on TV. There aren't that many televised FCS games even compared to the Sun Belt.

For as long as the teams keep on winning. Which should be still very consistently. Keep in mind they are moving up into the Sun Belt and not the SEC. A league which both teams should do great in. The Sun Belt is chock full of former FCS teams, of which none had the success ASU/GSU had on that level. Bowl games will be a lot of fun, and the biggest thing is the exposure and money this move will bring in.
Have to remember the playoff is coming in 2 years in FBS and it's only bound to expand over time much like the FCS playoffs is now 20 teams large.

This. We're really lucky to get 1 game on a regular season on regional tv. On top of that during the playoff they usually only show the final 8/4/2 on ESPN/ESPN2. Otherwise just ESPN3.

are they going up or down in terms of competition? Think about it

Oh for sure going up! I am very excited to be playing Big Boy Football now. After winning 6 National Championships at the 1-AA level what more can you accomplish?

GSU football was Division 1AA until the name of Div 1AA was changed in 2006 to Football Championship Subdivision.

Statesboro is the STD capital of the nation. I'll pass on the coeds.

FCS is still Divsion I
There seems to be a lot of confusion in this thread about this.
GSU has always been Division I (since football started back in 1982).
Division I from 1978-2006 was separated into two SUB-divisions. Those were Division I-A and Division I-AA. After 2006 they changed the names of the sub-divisions to Division I FBS and Division I FCS. So nothing changed in terms of what Division either was in, they just changed the names of each subdivision.
Division II and Division III are below Division I and do not have any sub divisions.
