Or don't commit braindead penalties. With the helmet, kinda hard for the QB to sell to the ref that it came off while he's posing. The other two calls were obvious.

How much time is Boise going to give Andy Avalos? He went 7-5 his first year, 10-4 last year, and they look like they are staring down the barrel of a 5-6 loss season this year. Boise has not had a losing season since 1997 and 18 of those 23 seasons since then they've won at least 10 games w/one of those being a 5-2 season during COVID.

OK Roughneck brain farted when he updated the Air Force game and put in San Diego State instead of San Jose St so when Boise scored I was being a smart arse and said they tied it up w/San Jose State instead of San Diego St

Not really, unless you’re going back to the pre WWI era of CFB.

They had a team reach AP #1 during the late 80s when the ACC was considered a power conference but lacking a power program before FSU joined.

Bronco’s 9-win team in 2019 is one of their best of the after the leather helmet era.

Damn that was a sick TD run by that little dude from Boise.

Maybe I was burying Avalos too early?

I don’t know about that. They could easily wind up 9-3 with @Fresno being the only other loss. Washington was definitely the hardest game on the schedule and UCF was probably #2 or #3.

I guess the question is should Boise State expect 10 wins or is it just they could expect 10 wins with Chris Peterson. Bryan Harsin was winning a lot of games there, but it still felt like the program was slipping.

I don't know what the deal is w/NC State. From the outside looking in they seem like like a program that should be winning 9-10 games every year but Doeren is in his 11th season, averages roughly 7-5 each year, has just three 9 win seasons, and has finished ranked just two times.

I think Doreen is just a mediocre coach. Why they can't do better than him, that's a great question. NC as a state produces a lot of HS talent. They do feed a lot of instate teams though (UNC, NCST, Wake, Duke, ECU, Coastal, App State).

Really dumb by SDSU to punt on 4th and 1 - can’t waste downs against a ball control offense.

I definitely misjudged how this Boise SDSU game would play out. Still a lot of time but I thought the Aztecs would play much better. The games I was looking at as potential losses are at Memphis, at Colorado State, Wyoming, at Fresno State, Air Force, and a bowl. I thought Taylen Green looked bad enough against Washington and UCF that he had maybe regressed.
