Hamilton getting boo’d and the commentator having to tell them “enough of that”
Posted on 7/31/21 at 9:18 am to Lsut81
Yeah I wonder if they’ll look at that. It was so blatant.

before the crying gets to bad.
Hamilton's first outlap of Q3 was slower then his last Q3 outlap.

"The booing fuels me" -Hamilton
I look at it as a "don't hate the player. Hate the game" kind of thing. RBR could have sent their guys out before Merc, but they didn't.

And perfectly acceptable if you’re not backing up people, which I thought the warning earlier in the season was about?

I get the gamesmanship but that was a bitch move by Hamilton.

The commentators on the F1 feed said Mercedes was watching the Red Bull garage, to make sure Mercedes would be right in front of the Red Bull cars.

Nothing ‘wrong’ with what Mercedes/Hamilton did today.
Lewis is definitely getting crashed out of a race by RBR soon though, and let’s see how he/Mercedes reacts then.

Netflix has their fingers crossed. The next season of DtS is gonna be epic. Good stories to tell for almost every team, and obviously the RBR vs Merc battle.
If Red Bull retaliates, Netflix will certainly give new fans a nice history lesson regarding the Senna vs Prost battles, and also possibly the Schumacher/Hill and Schumacher/Villeneuve incidents.

As they should. This is shaping up to be one of those rivalries. Reminds me more of Schumacher vs Hill where Michael was just reviled by anyone not German when he raced for Benetton.

I don’t think it will make him afraid.
I assume Verstappen suffered some level of brain damage in the crash and he won’t be as good.
Verstappen was asked about the crash and said the following
I’m cherry picking, but loss of self control is a sign of brain damage. People can act a little drunk. And that may be everything from acting impulsively to speaking without a filter.

Depends on the track.
FIA...consistently inconsistent.
Max could have passed him several times. It is strategy that has played out over the years helping some and hurting others.

Then he comes from a lineage of brain damage.
Think he is just direct and tired of the shite. So many different angles that have to be played from the drivers and teams. Just tired of the same question 10 different ways. Max has never had that love affair and trying tp craft the perfect response that Seb and Lewis have perfected.

So 1/2 has to be a sprint quali…

A possibility. American market with the new gimmick.
Was talking with a really longtime F1 fan (pro-Max anti-Lewis) and he made a great point about the Max/Lewis event was a result of the sprint race. Had the start gone as planned Max would have taken the lead and won, just like the sprint race. Because of the sprint race Hamilton saw that he had to push the boundaries and that lead to the crash at Copse. Lewis knew he couldn't take him straight up from where he was.
Just another opinion, but it added a new facet to view of the sprint racr changing actual race results.

No Texas GP listed as of now.

Yeah, not sure where it spawned from.or when they squashed the online presence. The timeline doesn't really allow for a second race in Austin unless Japan is canceled and Honda is supposedly pushing really hard to prevent that. If Brazil were to drop, which is a possibility they may could do Austin/Mexico/Austin or move one of the other dates.
An uncertain calendar adds a new twist to the points races.
