The teams were warned again before this race about their radio transmissions. I don't see how Nico won't receive a penalty for the coaching from his engineers about the chassis settings and gearbox issues.

Nico looking like a bitch as always mad as frick

Wonder how long it will take them to come down with a penalty decision. If it's 10 seconds, Hamilton would only be a point behind Rosberg. If worse, and F1 want to make an example, Lewis could be the Championship leader. And would be deserving for Nico's bitchass.

Nico really is a driver I love to hate. His constant bitching and blaming everyone but himself is irritating.

Niki Lauda out with his Nico blinders on again:
"There was a gearbox issue but we don't know what it was. There was discussion about it but we think it was all in the limits."
Sure seemed to know what it was when they were instructing Nico on how to fix it...

Lauda's constant defense of everything Nico is beyond belief.

Any penalty for Nico at this point? I turned off the the race immediately following the finish.

Not yet. Stewards must be watching tennis.

Hamilton has won 4 out of the last 5 races. Seems to me he has gotten into his stride after a difficult start to the season. If he goes into the summer break with a lead in the drivers' championship, I don't think Nico will catch him again.

10 second time penalty for Rosberg. Verstappen elevated to 2nd place, Rosberg to 3rd. Rosberg now leads Hamilton by a single point.

What exactly was Rosberg doing that was against the rules?
Im not a F1 follower, so I wasn't sure what the big deal about the conversation he was having.

They aren't allowed to tell him how to fix settings on his car once the race begins or how to drive. They just started doing this this year I think.
They said don't go into 7th gear and repeated it like 5 times.

Say what you will about Rosberg, but this rule is stupid AF.

Qualifying in Hungary delayed by at least 20 minutes due to some heavy rain. Apparently drainage is a problem because the track and curbs are new and are just retaining everything.
Rosberg fastest in FP2 and FP3, though Verstappen was within 0.002 of Rosberg in FP3. Hamilton with a crash in FP2 threw his weekend off but was top 4 in FP3.
Jolyon Palmer of Renault managed to finish 10th in FP3 so could see some noise from him in qualifying kind of like Wehrlein a couple races ago.

Q1 under way. Full wets for all.
ETA: And then the skies opened. Red flag 5 minutes in.
ETA2: Ericsson crashes, red flag #2 with 9 minutes left in Q1
ETA3: Red flag #3, just after Hamilton goes off track, Massa crashes and we're stopped again. Hamilton was on wets, Massa and Vettel came out on inters. Track still a disaster. About 5 minutes left in Q1
ETA4: Haryanto off and it's red flag #4. Less than a lap time remaining, so Q1 will be called.

Verstappen, Rosberg, Ricciardo top 3 in Q2. Button and Alonso both in Q3 for the first time. Hamilton just squeezes through in P10.

Rosberg goes sub 1:20 on his last lap and pips Lewis to the pole.
Qualifying results: Rosberg, Hamilton, Ricciardo, Verstappen, Vettel, Sainz, Alonso, Button, Hulkenberg, Bottas, Grosjean, Kyvat, Perez, Raikkonen, Gutierrez, Nasr, Palmer, Massa, Magnussen, Ericsson, Wehrlein, Haryanto
Ericsson and Massa could drop further on gearbox changes.
