Anyone know of a football camp in the next month ?
Baton rouge or prairieville area.
Something for a kid just getting into the sport.

Bob passed away and Randy could not keep it going...too bad it was good for the young kids.

Some local high school probably has one. I doubt it's only for beginners though.

Don't some former LSU players usually have one in the River parishes?

Why would anyone let a 13-year-old play tackle football?

because he wants to.

And at 13 he should have 3 jobs and help with the mortgage.
with all of their little hormones and deep thoughts starting, the extra brain damage isn't going to hurt.

Do your homework. A friend and I did one around that age in East Texas. We assumed we would work on technique, fundamentals, 7 vs. 7, etc. It was a modern day Junction Boys camp. Full speed, full contact, filled with notable recruits, college coaches, and so forth.

I had Kendall Hunter (Oklahoma State/49ers) doing his best Earl Campbell impression by bulldozing my arse into the hard, red Texas dirt in the middle of July.

Trent Williams (Oklahoma Sooner/Washington Redskin) all but choke slammed my friend. He kept on saying "Just trying to make the team...just trying to make the team." My buddy was like, "I think you got it locked up, Trent..."

Fun times...
