Will be interesting to see the line if chievous can't play. Biggest spread ever in the NCAAT?

Apparently Hampton's coach dropped this in their press conference yesterday regarding potentially playing UK:

quote:

“I’m going to give you the truthful answer — I believe everybody has thought about that,” Joyner said on Monday. “I’d say 1 percent of me has thought about it. And I say (if we do), I’d probably have Jesus on speed dial. I hope he’s hot that night, if we play.”

Apparently you need Jesus to beat UK at this point.

What I'm wondering is what if the final four was played on a Sunday? Would byu just never play in the tournament?

They wouldn't play. And I'm not even kidding.

Another random BYU question, are they allowed to drink Gatorade or Powerade?

There was a big deal when the committee accidentally put them in a Friday Sunday bracket a few years ago. They were going to switch brackets if they got to the sweet 16, huge mess but they lost mercifully.

Yeah I was just getting ready to post it. It was '03:

quote:

The NCAA Tournament selection committee came up with a new plan Sunday after realizing it mistakenly placed BYU in a bracket that would call for it to possibly play on a Sunday.

As a Mormon-run school, BYU does not play any games on Sundays. If the 12th-seeded Cougars were to advance to the South Regional final, they would have been scheduled to play on Sunday, March 30.

Under the committee's revised plan, if BYU were to win its first two games, the Cougars would then move from the South Region to the Midwest Region. In that scenario, BYU would switch places with the team that reached the Sweet 16 from the Midwest (either Wisconsin, Weber State, Dayton, or Tulsa).

If BYU were to lose either its first game or second in the tournament, the schedules and pairings would be unaffected.

"They told us that if they changed it now that it would create more problems now," BYU athletics director Val Hale told ESPN.com. "If we lose, then it's a non-issue."

They've given Mendenhall a Gatorade bath before so I guess so.

Nevermind, I just realized Gatorade doesn't have caffeine in it. BYU players are in the clear.

They just move the ball so well the perimeter opens up for them really easy. And they take advantage.

Ole Miss is even less disciplined on offense than LSU.
It's actually not even close. Every shot looks like a prayer.

It was 19-18 when I posted that. But thanks for the super late quote.

And I'm taking the score out of the OP. I'm probably going to crash before the end of the 2nd half.
