The last one I played in was the 125 buy in with the 75 add on and it only had 17 people or so and only paid 3 spots. Horseshoe gets very good fields on there Thursday 220 freeze out anywhere from 40-80 people and 1st place sometimes gets up to 7 or 8 grand.

Your talk about Boomtown is making me want to try them this week, but I don't want to mess up what I have going. I am steadily increasing my bankroll by 3-4 hundred dollars every session.

Excuse the stupidity, but is this just another way of saying no rebuys?

Well I havent been there in awhile and I talked to a girl who works up there and says there have been a lot more players. If you want to get into the tournament scene Id recommend playing up there the buy ins are cheap and the field are easy. I probably cashed or won about 10 out of 20 of the ones I played. The other cool thing is they will run sit n gos all day long as long as you can get 6 people to play.

yeah. I hate rebuy tournaments it just gives rich people an excuse to play like a retard for the 1st 3 levels.

You're lucky your 10k got wired to Harrah's. I'm sure you've heard about the DoJ freezing about $33 million in online money. I've been in vegas for about 2 weeks now for the series and its all everyone is talking about. That and a Harrah's employee I know who works in accounting that said there was a chance some of the online qualifiers might not get to play b/c of the 10k not getting wired through.

Good luck in the main event.

Ugh, don't get me started on that. I play like a fricking world beater for an hour and look over at the dumbass who pushed on the first hand, got four callers and is now sporting a stack 6 times as big as mine.

ETA: Then he goes and buys the add on

I recommend always buying the add on one time I didnt and it cost me a shot at the tourney. The extra chips would have kept me from feeling I had to shove with a weak ace.

Played the $1500 on Saturday, went deep. Busted late in level 10, didn't make the money. Playing the $1500 tomorrow and the 2k on Thursday. Also bubbled the $340 nightly at the Rio last night. Satellite are real soft. Shipped a $275 the other night and the cash games are going well.

Dude Nelly, the rapper, was crushing the satellites the other night. Hilarious

Thanks man. I talked to his bodyguard for a while. It was extremely entertaining. I asked him what happens when he has to beat someone's arse for Nelly. His response was "They don't get up."

Also, all the big time "pro's" are broke b/c of Ivey winning those bracelets. Degens

He was there last Wednesday. His wife was getting on my nerves a bit, but he was playing his usual style. Bet anything with any two cards. Except he was hitting. He bought in for $200 at 1:30am, and was up to $1500 when I left at 5:30am.

He is nuts. I have seen him get up big and piss it all away several times. I remember once a guy raised to 25, 2 other guys called and jimmy called and I was in the big blind with QQ and 115 in my stack so I shoved it folded around to him and he asked me if I wanted him to call and I told him no and he threw it away. I figured I would take the double up with no confrontation.

You get triple the chips this year and they added 2 levels. So 4500 for the $1500's, 6000 for the $2k's, etc, etc. In my opinion its a good structure, but not absolutely great. Now the main event has the best structure ever made. 2 hour levels. Antes don't increase every level. It's unbelievable.

That sounds a lot better. Definitely going to try to make it out there next year.
