Missouri played in the East.

Last year, their only games against ranked opponents (at the time) were against:

South Carolina (Win 1 point, 21-20)
Georgia (Lost 34-0)
Texas A&M (Win by a touchdown, 34-27)

and then their SEC Championship game against Alabama, they lost 42-13.

Those ranked teams that they beat (South Carolina and Texas A&M) were not ranked at all by the end of the season. They were very overrated when Missouri played them.

So really, the only good teams they played last year were Georgia and Alabama, and they got stomped by both.

I hate to take up for Missou, but just because a team isn't ranked doesn't mean they aren't good. Beating USC and AM on the road are big wins for a program like them. Like good teams do, they took care of business against the teams they should have.

11-3 in a major conference is a great year no matter how you spin it.

They're only 1-10 against SEC teams with a winning conference record since joining.

They still need to actually win something.

They beat the teams they're supposed to beat and they lose to the ones they're supposed to lose to. They've been in the SEC three years and have been to the SECCG from the East more times than South Carolina. They're doing something right.

To prove that they are a good team? I disagree.

They've held their own against the west also. 4-2 last 2 years, undefeated against them in the regular season.

Well Muschamp has as many East titles as USCe.

Why not? Teams like Baylor/Boise State/Kansas State have all won conference titles or major bowls (or both) since Pinkel's been at the Zou.

Ole Miss and AtM (the first time) were both ranked when Missouri beat them.

I don't know why I'm even taking up for Missouri cuz I don't like them, but winning 23 games in 2 years in the SEC is impressive no matter how you spin it.

That they have no excuse (s) for not winning at least something under Pinkel.
