Scotlandville is not unbeatable. Comeaux had them up by 4 with 2 1/2 minutes left when we had 3 straight possessions where we had players force the action instead of working the ball around and each time Scotlandville came down and worked the ball until they got good shots (and the miss that Jones slammed back in). At one point In the third Comeaux was about to stretch the lead to double digits and my buddy thought that Comeaux was pulling away. I told him 2 bad possessions by us and 2 good possessions by Scotlandville and they are back in the game and sure enough that is what happened. I think the main reason Scotlandville won was their experience from having won it all last year.

Scotlandville played horrible last night, but still won. Game was alot closer than I expected.

Yea, I figured it was just emotion talking. It was the 1st time they've made it that far in the playoffs.

I hate it when somebody plays a close game and it wasn't a blowout there has to be an excuse and it couldn't be because they played a very, good team and it was a pretty even matchup. I was at the game. It was 2 very good teams playing a physical game. I thought the refs let way too much action go on both ends but they were consistent. As a team when you know the style of play being called you have to adjust. In the 4th quarter the Spartans plan was to take it in the paint and attack Scotlandville's big men and try to get a foul or a close shot. They didn't get the fouls which is why they were frustrated in the papers but ultimately the reason we lost was not because of fouls not being called but because in the end we didn't execute and Scotlandville did. But I don't want hear anybody, either the Spartans or the Hornets blaming the refs. It was just two really good teams and one had to win and the other had to lose. I'm proud of my Spartans. Probably the best team we might have and unfortunately our run had to end in the semi-finals.
