Do you even get excited about football each week? Most of your teams play 2 or 3 games a season vs a ranked team
It’s gotta suck playing ball state, Kent state, Ashland, oberlin, buffalo, and the little sisters of the poor 8 weeks a year

I get excited most weeks. Of course Ball State and Kent State dont get you excited like maybe LA Tech or Mcneese but we make up for it other ways. Like for Example playing Texas, Iowa, USC, Oregon, Indiana and Michigan. It all balances out in the end.

And yet somehow they still mop the floor with SEC Schools in the Playoffs every year.

Or you get to play cupcakes like Texas A&M, Arkansas, Mississippi State and the like. How much does it suck to be out of CFP contention by week four?

But the last 4 years, OSU has only had 3 ranked matchups in the regular season for each of those 4 seasons. And 3 of the 4 years, one of the ranked matchups was a non-conference game. So only 2 of 9 conference games a year featured a ranked opponent. Conference schedules like that will make ACC teams blush.

I was in the stadium when Tennessee came up here and they honestly didn't look too much better than Kent state or ball state.

That the conference regular season schedule is often not as compelling as it could be because the conference watered itself down with adding doormat programs
But maybe the Big 10 is onto something. Have enough bottom feeders so your contender teams play 75% of their games against 3 or 4 touchdown underdogs gives the starters plenty of opportunity to rest in the 4th quarter and be more rested and healthy for the playoffs.

That is correct. We also won the revolutionary war, civil war, war of 1812, Mexican war, WW1,and WW2.
We lost Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan. So far.
So the SEC was on top many years ago. Big 10 caught up and is kicking the SEC’s butt ever since.
So SEC can’t compete with the big boys anymore.

There are 10 Power 4 schools who've yet to play an opponent who was ranked in the top 60 in FPI (at game time). Seven of them -- Nebraska, Iowa, USC, Washington, Indiana, UCLA and Penn State -- are in the Big Ten, but it hasn't kept four of them from being ranked in the AP top 20.
As someone who lives in Columbus, yes they get excited. With every blow out they tho k their team is better. For the last 20 years the SEC is always just overrated and the big 10 rules- according to the locals.
