Is Evangeline Downs racetrack fully open for racing? Our group is looking at going Friday July 9th.

Also, are there any VIP or reserved areas to sit while watching the races?

Thanks!

Get a spot upstairs and get the buffet. My friends and I use to bring our dads for Father's day and get belligerent.

Forgot to mention that we took an old RV "War Wagon" to get there and back which were better than the races itself.

It’s open but the grandstand is rarely open. I wouldn’t bet on it to be open unless it is a big event which is also rare. I doubt they have any food up there either they are really letting the track go to shite.

I've hated for years that ED and assorted tracks have trashy manicured grass & lawns in the backdrop on TVG. Tacky. Reflects a dying sport.

Bossier has always looked nice on the tube.

Havent been to any La track in person in three decades.

you should claim the 4 in the first race

it is a full to one liner a G3 winner and Roderick an allowance winner

the youngest in the into mischief-cayala cross is a two year old that sold to spendthrift/myracehorse at the yearling sale for $600k

going for $4k. obviously not G3 quality. been claimed numerous times before so it is popular in the claim box. never really moved past <$10k claiming fields however.

I wish they could turn that track around. I love it there. Both surfaces are safe. Hard to believe they used to have a grade 1 race.

I would only agree if a filly

Someone claimed Justify’s sister at fairgrounds a few weeks before he made his first start. They saw a very quick return on investment

Buy the horse and run it at fairmount park

especially if it has all of its conditions. A lot of nw1 races to score easy purses if horse can run a little.

I wish I could figure out how to handicap Asian and European races. Racing is hige iver there. I use Trackmaster data with pretty good success but they don't cover racing outside North America.

Hi gad.

I see you’ve changed it up by doing 2 dv to throw me off the scent of your usual 3..

Way to keep people guessing

trainer/jockey combos and stuff

Also, when the track is a swamp, look for any American Bred, or off shoots of American Breds. They like the swamp turf.

Always watch the bias. i watch this guy stream the aussie/japan/hk/etc races and wager, and there is usually always a bias. front end good, closers, etc.

It's a lot of work to handicap it, but can pay handsomely.

Clubhouse is open but they only have a bar up there to serve drinks. No food. If you want food you can go downstairs order food there and bring it upstairs
