Espn and ufc extend their deal through 2025 and make the Ufc ppv exclusive provider in the US, no more ordering through your cable provider or the other means like amazon/YouTube. Not sure if you have to be a subscriber but assuming you do to order.

They need to get some better content besides reruns and 30 for 30's. I tried it out for a month and it got old after i watched all the shows I missed during their original runs.

I assume it isn’t just included in the base ESPN+ package, right?

No. Ppv will now cost 59.99 instead of 64.99.

Is this like what Vince McMhon did, where he found out its a much greater money maker to get everyone to pay $5-10 a month versus buying one PPV per year? Dazn is doing the same thing I think.

It seems this is the model going forward. Good riddance of the old days of $80 PPVs if so. Besides, UFC has like 2 events a year anybody really cares about.

I don’t know if DAZN is a good example

They have to sell so many subs to pay for the crazy deals they’re handing out. I’ll give them this...at least they’re trying to sign everyone and corner the boxing market. Better than giving crazy deals to a couple guys.

McMahon started his own network and WWE gets 100% of the money ($10 a month) instead of charging $60 for a PPV that they would have to share a large percentage with the provider.

UFC is joining ESPN’s network and still charging $60 for a PPV and will still have to share a large percentage of the money with ESPN.

The rumor is ufc is getting 65-70% deal instead of the 50% they shared. So getting a slightly bigger piece of the pie. I am wondering how it goes in effect for the ppv points a fighter gets for pay.

The UFC events must have done well on ESPN+. I just find it weird that they are going to throw out all.of the fans that don't know how to fool with ESPN+.
