So at the beginning of the year Favre enjoyed Mangini and the Jets because they were winning and Favre was doing well. Now that Favre started to play like complete shite, he doesn't like Mangini?
That's the thing. Mangini and the Jets front office couldn't shut up in the preseason when they were saying how Brett Favre had all this experience, and how that would allow him to produce. Too bad that you have to take the good with the bad, and with him it's always horrible decisions, and tons of INT's. The bad thing is Chad Pennington had the last laugh. This years Jets is a perfect example of the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence.

is name calling really necessary when talking about one of the league greats who has always played with a great passion for the game? And I highly doubt the Jets front office made this decision based on a player who might be around for 1 more year.
Do you really think with all the rumors floating around right now about his shoulder, the jets are %100 sure Favre will be there next year. My guess is he holds them hostage. Plus playing with great passion is no excuse for the bad decisions and INT's. Also it's not a reason for him to get away with what he pulled on Green Bay.

Exactly i respect Favre for what he has done as a player but outside the game he thinks he is bigger than the team itself and he thinks everyone should cater to him.

Chad Pennington should hold a press conference and not speak a word but just laugh for 5 minutes

from mangenious to manjobless all in 5 weeks time.

He has been on the hot seat for 2 years now. I guess the front office people figure if he can't win with their perception of Farve then he can't win period. I think the fact that Chad Pennington beat him didn't help.

yeah he has been on and off, but he was off and on to the contract extension stove when they beat the jets and were sitting at 8-3 at one point. then his world came crashing down around him. i dont really think it was all him. look at brett's numbers, they were shite and he is a defensive guru he doesnt really deal with the offense so that blame could be laid more on the offense. but these days everything is the HC's fault. i do think it was time for him to go in ny though. it just wasnt working out from a performance and personal stand point

and you respect him for what exactly ? look at how many personnel turnovers with RBs, WRs, and TEs that went on with the packers during even the good favre years ... favre is low self-esteemed, arrogant prick that yes, has always thought he was bigger than the team and the organization ... players would get the hell out of dodge or beg for trades to get away from him or he himself would run players off ... now look at peyton manning .. his nucleus has basically been the same at WR and RB .. joe montana .. basically the same throughout ..

i'm so sick of this "passion" shite with favre .. practically every other QB in the league plays with a great "passion" and throw half the interceptions he does and have their teams in the playoffs ... people equate this "gunslinger" shite with "passion" too often .. how can you say that a person that could a crap about the team he plays for and it is all about him plays with passion ? favre's teammates are basically bit players to him in his personal circus ... 10 years from now, name one receiver that will be forever linked to favre ?? the others are simple .. manning and harrison, montana and rice, bradshaw and swan, aikman and irvin, etc ..

You've never been so "on" in your life.

look at favre's last four seasons in the NFL .. last season stands out like the abberation that it was ..

343/522 65.7% 3472yards 22TD 22INT
*I don't think NFL.com had yesterday included yet
2007
356/535 66.5% 4155yards 28TD 15INT
2006
343/613 56.0% 3885yards 18TD 18INT
2005
372/607 61.3% 3881yards 20TD 29INT
Last 4 years combined
1414/2277 62.1% 15393 yards (6.76ypa) 88TD 84INT

that is just absolutely fricking horrible there .. almost an interception for every TD ... i'd love to see how many of those INTs either directly or indirectly led to TDs ... i'd be willing to bet he cancelled a lot of those TD passes out with that shite ... what's scary, is pull 2007 out of that and you have 60 TDs and 69 INTS !!

Favres horrible stats and everyone bad mouthing Mangini aside....Favre is just as big of a bitch as Mangini is.
Posted on 12/29/08 at 4:56 pm to TigerStripes06
i think favre's a bigger bitch than mangini is ... holmgren left the packers because he was sick of favre's shite .. his replacements couldn't deal with the guy and mike mc carthy shot a wad on himself when favre retired last season ... from what i understand, favre just got ridiculously full of himself after winning the three straight MVPs and thought that accomplishment alone along with one super bowl ring would carry him through his career and that he was then entitled to canton ... he takes a "how dare you, the head coach bitch at me about throwing stupid interceptions" with mangini and starts bad mouthing him in the lockerroom and just as fast as the team took off, the fricking idiot took them apart .. if there was an NFL hall of fame for lockerroom cancers, favre's statue would be in front of the building ..
