So long as the union protects the current Joe Wests and Angel Hernandexz' they deserve all the boos, scorn and derision headed their way.
Bad umpires control and ruin games and can insidiously fix them, which I believe some do,
A federal judge concluded Hernandez sucked in 2021 and he was still allowed to ruin games for three more years...

As long as the umpire’s union keeps shielding the current versions of Joe West and Angel Hernandez, they’re practically begging for every boo, jeer, and side-eye from the batters box, pitchers mound, dugouts and the stands. These guys aren’t just umps—they’re chaos agents, turning baseball games into their personal fiefdoms. Bad umps don’t just miss calls; they hijack entire games, and I’m half-convinced some are out there rigging the show for kicks or money.

Hey hey hey... get your facts straight... I'm not retired.
Also, the ABS (robot) system is coming, regardless of what they do at this point. Too much money has been invested. But it probably won't be as universally loved as you may think.
