exactly. Sanders made the playoffs once i believe. Smith made it every year and he didn't have to carry the team. Can anyone even name the qb's who handed off to sanders? The cowboys were the top team in the 90's.

came across as a self involved ego maniac
Jerry Rice/Floyd Little were spot-on, Emmitt a little over the top to say the least IMO

Sanders got stuck on awful Lions teams. This isn't even fair.
Divisional playoffs 1991 season...Detroit 38 Dallas 6.

When the game began, the Cowboys defense did an excellent job stopping Sanders, holding him to one of his lowest outputs of the season. However, the Cowboys were torched by unheralded Lion quarterback Erik Kramer through the air and gave up 38 points. The final score was Detroit 38 Dallas 6.
WHEN IT COUNTED Sanders did not show up and he did not the next week against Washington either.

bullshite. If you really want to look at it. Sanders had NOTHING compared to Smith as far as talent around him.
Really? Smith Irvin and Sanders had Herman Moore. Detroit also had multiple olinemen in the ProBowl. Like I have said, HOW MANY of those "great" Dallas olinemen are in the hall of fame??? ZERO!

As I said one year his team went to the playoffs.

Yeah the one season his team was in the playoffs. Get out man. Not to mention he ran behind a bad o.line for the most part.

You obviously dont know what the difference is between a athlete at RB and a true everydown all around RB. How many negative rushes did Sanders have through the years because he did not follow his blockers through the hole? Why did Sanders come out of the game on 3rd down and in the redzone? He was a HORRIBLE blocker and receiver...that is why.

ACTUALLY genius, Emmitt Smith DID NOT make the playoffs more times than he did!
Emmitt Smith was the heart and soul of the 90s Cowboys' teams...see the last game of the 1993 season against the Giants...he tore his shoulder up and carried the ball over 30 times with one arm. Barry Sanders would have been on the bench or locker room.

Imagine someone from New Orleans saying that. Smith was no different than Jerry Rice!

And how many 30 yard runs did he have because he didn't follow his blockers?

so now you are questioning the toughness of one of the best rb's in history.

You werent even ALIVE when they started playing in the NFL!!! You are trying to agrue with me about something you were not around to see or old enough to remember. Your opinions have no merit because they are based on ignorance!

Herman Moore
yeah he really compares well to a guy already in the hall of fame. Moore made 4 pro bowls. Irvin made 5. Irvin has alot more career accomplishments than Moore also.

If they were GREAT, they would all be in by now son! Only Larry Allen will make it in and he came along after THREE of Smith's rushing titles in 1994 when you 2 years old. I am sure you remember than one.
