we always give credit to the QBs for wins regardless of their actual performance or impact on the game. Its how it's always been.
So put a guy in the Hall of Fame because that’s how it’s always been? That’s pretty stupid
I understand he will probably get in and “2 rings” will be the biggest factor but I will always disagree that he deserves it.

Two SuperBowls...
In New York...
With the last name Manning...
Yes, true. BUT. Those two super bowl runs were anything but routine. Or easy. Giants defense was peaking but Eli executed clutch playoff performances. He didn't flinch. He didn't miss.
Those two Super Bowl season wins throughout the playoffs were as heavy Underdogs, and they had to run the table both times from a Wild Card position. Eli had to go through Dallas. Green Bay (2), San Fran. And the Patriots (2). While playing extra games (Wild Card Rounds)
In those Super Bowls (2007 + 2011) it was the epic effort and leadership led BY a clutch Eli Manning to climb over and beat some of the best "Also-Rans" in NFL history. ON THE ROAD.
(2007) NFC Semi-Finals beat heavy favorite Dallas IN Dallas 21-17 over a a great 13-3 Romo team who had already beaten the Giants TWICE;
In the NFC Championship Game Eli led comeback after comeback over Pack and Brett Favre in freezing Lambeau Field in OT 23-20 (demolished the G-Men in the regular season to Green Bay.)
THEN Eli led the G-Men with a last minute TD pass to prevail over Brady and his UNDEFEATED Pats, 17-14 in the SB.
(2011) The greater performances by Eli.
NFC Semi-Finals he completely dominated the Pack again IN Green Bay. In Aaron Rodgers "best" year arguably, 37-20. Eli was almost perfect.
In the NFC Championship Game Eli led the Giants to a victory in OT over one of the great defensive teams, the SF 49'ers, 20-17. I never saw a QB hang in till the last nano-second and take such a ferocious beating as Eli in this game -- yet complete his passes. He has tremendous focus and courage just when it was required.
Super Bowl win again vs the almost unbeatable Patriots. Eli's clutch long sideline pinpoint pass from within the shadow of his own goalposts was the key throw here with just a few minutes to go in the game, down to the Pats. Giants went on to score a TD and the game.

He was never anywhere near as good as Brady, Brees, Rodgers or his brother and his best individual seasons were never as good as the best seasons by Rivers, Stafford, Ryan, Wilson, Roethlisberger or even Luck or Newton (who both had short windows of being healthy). Historically he's far closer to guys like Flacco and Romo than he was to the elite top 4. He was good, but never even close to great. When you can rattle off 8+ players who were his direct contemporaries that were probably better than him then it's hard to argue that he's worthy of the Hall.
That is the case against. No question. It's a legit argument. I was already to concede the same...until I recalled the Best of Eli -- unlike the list above of "better QBs", he ran the table not once but TWICE. Dramatically and clutch. AND who he beat (undefeated Patriots.)
