No. The whole point is that Brees is hailed as the GOAT QB by some Saints fans. He hasn’t won an MVP, which if you’re truly the greatest QB then this is a very attainable award that you should have.
The GOAT defensive player will have won DPOY at least once. Doesn’t have to win MVP because defensive players typically don’t get that.
If there was an award for best WR in a season then Rice or the GOAT WR would have won it at least once.
How are you going to consider Brees the GOAT QB when he hasn’t won the individual award that is essentially designed to go to QBs. He doesn’t need an MVP for his legacy. He’s a top 10 all time QB. But he isn’t in the GOAT conversation without that hardware that every other top ten QB has.

Yeah but he was in the same era as Manning and Brady so even most of his best years he was the 3rd best QB and then when Rodgers came into his prime he was at best the 4th best QB in the league. Can’t be goat when he isn’t even a top 3 QB during his time.
