From what I've heard, he will probably never see the field they are so down on him. He didn't know plays heading into week 17 of the season.

Dayum.

I'm still kind of puzzled why they let Dansby go. He's usually been a pretty durable player going all the way back to his college days at Auburn seems like. I know he's starting to get up there with age but I thought he did well when ever I saw him play last year.

Yep, you're always taking a big gamble with Mizzou TEs recently. High on athleticism, not much else when it comes to the position.

Dansby was probably a money/age thing, he was signed to the largest contract for an ILB ever. He's definitely still a very good player, they just didn't want the price tag at 31(32 in November).

The Dolphins saved money for the next two years and got younger by switching out Dansby/Burnett for Ellerbe/Wheeler. Dansby is still good but has taken a big step back from two years ago when he was awesome, he's not the athlete he once was. Dansby and Burnett were also Mike Nolan's guys, new DC, new scheme.

Philbin came off as a cranky, sour old man in the Hard Knocks show. Does the guy have a personality?
Cranky, old, sour personality are all irrelevant. Winning is all that matters.
