Does FOX not do the game of the week anymore?

Not that I miss hearing Joe Buck, but did FOX trade their 3 o’clock game of the week for TNF?

They don’t get it every week. Some weeks CBS gets the biggest afternoon game as a national broadcast. It’s been that way. Fox still has some of the late afternoon games on today, they’re just not national broadcasts.

At least in my case, the 4:00 PM game that I get locally has seemingly always been rotated between FOX and CBS.
I bet Joe Buck did the Cowboys game at 1 PM. They sometimes do games at 1.

So is it just a coincidence when CBS and Fox both have games on at 3?

Weak? Feats of strength?

On occasion they’ll both have a late national game. Most Sundays, one has a late national game, the other has a couple of late regional broadcasts. So sometimes you might have a game on both if one of those late regional games is in your region.

At least those teams are better than the Saints.

Yes and no. Part of the Thursday night package was for Fox’s #1 broadcast team do the games. The NFL doesn’t like the B team on prime time games.
Joe and Troy didn’t want to do 30+ games a season, so they do all the Thursday games, and roughly every other week on Sunday.

CBS and FOX both have doubleheaders Week 1 and will have them in Week 18, as is custom for the last week of the regular season. Otherwise, the split the rest of the season on who has the featured 3:25 game.
With Buck/Aikman doing TNF, they usually don't work the Sundays when FOX doesn't have the featured late game. Given how awful both of them are, it's a break for our ears.

Troy is one of the best in the business. Anyone who thinks otherwise is clueless

This was such a dogshit national game, Rams Cardinals would have been much better
