The Spurs are going to be the Spurs. If Miami doesn't come out and play their best, San Antonio will win. Miami is going to have to take game 7, the Spurs are too experienced to give it to them. Now that doesn't mean Miami can't win by double digits, if they play great the entire game that is possible

but on D there is no excuse. Miami doesn't play with full effort on D a lot of the time.

I agree that the effort isn't always there, but look at the lineups:

Chalmers - Can't handle Parker 1-on-1. Heat constantly have to shift personnel (namely Lebron) and switch constantly
Wade - Hobbled, can't give close to 100% effort defensively and still contribute on offense
Miller/Allen - Older players that can't consistently stay in front of SA's perimeter players. Allen played 41 minutes, 16 more than his playoff average, so don't expect a great defensive effort from a 37 year old bench player in game 7.
Lebron - Obviously their best defender, but Leonard is making him work on both ends. James is shouldering such a heavy load offensively that he simply doesn't have the energy to defend Leonard the way we are accustomed to seeing him defend, hence Leonard's 9/14 FG, a number of which were easy buckets with Lebron right around him
Bosh - Can't handle Duncan, plain and simple.

Bench?

You get decent effort from Anderson, but he had four fouls in 14 minutes. After that, you'll get average at best defense from Battier.

Miami can't defend the Spurs anymore. SA has scored 100+ in three of four games, and I expect them to score a lot in game 7.

I'll say this, if the Spurs lose by less than whatever the spread is (probably 7 or 8)...I will have a ton of respect for them ETA: I already have a ton, so 2 tons of respect

The Spurs should hang this in their locker room for motivation.
