Does anyone else think NFL overtime should be eliminated?

During the regular season, of course. To me, the only fair way to do it is to play an entire extra quarter (similar to what they do in soccer). However, an extra quarter of game time puts those teams involved in a tie game at a disadvantage (more injuries, more banged up players, etc.).

The system that just ended was abysmal (coin flip determining possession in sudden death, WTF), and I don't really like the new policy just implemented either.

I think for the 16 regular season games, the game should be over after 60 minutes.

I also agree. If you don't want a draw, do what it takes in 60 minutes. In the playoffs, play a ten minute period.

This is the minority opinion in this country. Not saying I disagree with it, but the majority of people bashing soccer on this board right now use the tie games as exhibit A.

Most people feel that there is something very dissatisfying about going to a sporting event and seeing it end in a tie.

Boo, they should make like College Game. But instead of starting in field goal rang already. Each team gets a chance and starts from the opposite 20 yardline so they have 80 yards to score a TD

this, I don't want to sit there for 3 hours and then have a game end in a tie.
