After Dodgers announced Kershaw would start, Braves Vegas odds fell from +155 to +230.

Pretty good read on Freddy Garcia: LINK

Not as awful as he's made out to be.

My guess is he gives us 3 or a little more tonight and we go heavy pen.

Let's just put Simmons on the mound and see what happens.

As someone says in the comments of that article, Fredi doesn't manage with any urgency, so even if Garcia puts in a few good innings, he probably won't be out of the game until he's given up a few too many runs.

Im nervous ( ) and yet strangely confident about this game tonight ( ). Doesn't feel like tonight's the last game of the season. So clearly you can take that to the bank that we're gonna win

I'm just hoping that Kershaw's shoulder is tired.

It kind of is. It's not like we have mid 90s John Smoltz going tonight. We are going with Freddy Garcia. Yeah we have roughed up Nolasco in his career but chances are they won't be out of it even if he gives up 5 runs. It's one of those moves that will either make Mattingly look like a genius or a moron.

Why is Kershaw starting tonight? God damnit

Because the dodgers want to close it out tonight?

Could be interesting if it blows up in their face. Clayton has never gone on 3 days rest in the majors...but he is a horse, pretty smart if it works obviously

never gone 3 days rest, threw the most pitches of his career last game, and has thrown what, 230+ innings this year?

has the potential to be good for us, but we all know our playoff luck
