When you have 30 5* players and consistently blow BCS teams out of the water, yes, there are.

The Pac-10 is terrible.

After a bye week to prepare. After knowing what losing like that was like in 2006. After everyone warning them it would happen.
Pathetic.

You have to show up every fricking single week.

Which is more proof as to why Pete needs an overhaul as far as his week to week practice/preparation strategy.

See, I think the myth is the abyss between the top teams and the inferior teams. It's closer than everybody thinks. The better teams are the teams that actually play better on every given day.

I think USC needs to re-evaluate themselves, while the rest of the nation does the same.

Virginia? Ohio St.?

I know there's tough places for teams to play, traps all over the place, but what I saw tonight leaves me wondering how much TEAM plays a part in USC football.

Too many chiefs and not enough indians, IMO.

Carroll got X'd and O'd. Last season it was the injury bug. I'm running out of excuses for a team that plays in a weak conference and their OOC schedule includes a host of disappointing teams the last two seasons.

you're analyzing too much. They played a team who wasn't scared, with a freshman posessed, who wanted to kick their arse with a rocking stadium that wanted to kick their arse. USC didn't choke. They just got their asses beat. That shite happens. Every week.

And the great part is, this loss just about ends their title shot. I love the BCS.

Sure, let's completely disregard Kentucky and/or Arkansas.

Yes, it does.

Me too. Always have. Everybody gets their panties in a wad the 4th week of the season, but it works itself out every year.

Yeah I think it would be a completely different game

And who knows what might happen with USC with regard to injuries along the way

They got their asses beat with 175lb backs blocking down on DE's a hundred pounds heavier.

What I can't figure is how they could score on their first two possessions and have so many more opportunities in the second half without more success.

And you're right. I tend to try to analyze everything too much, but that's the part of football I enjoy the most when getting on the field is no longer an option.

The BCS is one of the best things to ever happen to college football, IMO.

yeah, it's the only system where every game matters. I wouldn't change a thing.
