Chris Johnson of the Titans may have had the best 2 season run and fall into oblivion ever.

He became only the 6th player to rush for 2000 yds and broke Marshall Faulk's yards from scrimmage record, 1st team All Pro, and won NFL offensive player of the year in '09.

He rushed for over 1000 yds in each of his 6 seasons as a Titan and didn't do much at all outside of that '09 year. He made the pro bowl '08-'10 (his first 3 seasons in the league) and was a journeyman rb after that. Pretty wild to be that good for one year and do basically nothing the rest of your career.

I know there is a lot of discounting when it comes to Emmitt, but he had a five year stretch from 91-95 that was pretty good…
Averages
1604 yds
4.5 ypc
18 TDs ( including receiving)
1848 yds from scrimmage

Held the TD record all-time for a season before Tom broke it. Dude had almost 300 yards against you girls with limited PT as a soph. He could have rushed for 1k that day alone. Pop the hole one side move and gone. Sweet Home Alexander.
