re: DFW radio (105.3): Dallas not likely to cut Romo now

Seeing as word is that Cleveland just wanted the pick and not the player, it would be crazy if they used Houston's 2nd round pick to get Romo from the Cowboys.

Why would any team trade for that contract? Make the cowboys eat the dead money. If Houston thinks they are a contender why would they give another con there more cap room?

McCaig, what're you doing listening to The Fan over The Ticket? shite is garbage.

Its a risk if you wait until he gets cut and go fight it out with the Broncos, and lose him.
You trade for him, bad contract and all, you are guaranteed landing him

Lol I HATE the Ticket and anything ESPN.
I also listen to the Fan because of G-Bag.
ETA: Also helps that they are the official Cowboys and Rangers radio station so they get everything almost as it happens. But I didn't get big into sports radio until 3-4 years ago, so not sure how long they have had those rights, especially the Cowbaws.

Did Jerry Jones bother to disguise his voice when floating that rumor?

Just saw some baw on twitter tweet that Houston won't trade for Romo no matter what.
I believe that was Ian Rappaport that said that. The same guy that said we were going to do a 3 team trade and send Romo to Washington. The guy is a hack.

Rappaport is wrong a lot. He either makes things up or his sources suck. A theory about him is that he is much closer with agents than he is with teams and front offices.

Jeff Catlin, programming boss at the No. 1 sports talk station in town, is celebrating the best ratings month in the 22-year history of his station.
Needless to say Sportsradio KTCK-AM (1310) and KTCK-FM (96.7) The Ticket again dominated radio’s sports talk landscape in the May ratings book released this week.

For the month, The Ticket was No. 1 in men 25-54 with a 9.6 share of the ratings. The Fan scored a 4.8, sixth overall, and ESPN was at a 2.1, making it No. 19.

I could see Houston grabbing one of the free agent QB's and picking up Mahommes *sp from TT in draft.
