Midnight interlude

I know he's not a derby horse, but I like comma to the top. He's got some heart to him

He ran a nice race, especially because he had to swing out to avoid the tired comma

I'm glad he's a gelding. Hopefully he'll run a while

i hate that cali style of riding where they seem to tuck in and out down the stretch.

The boy makes fun of my win willy love.
Midnight interlude just broke his maiden.

This is the most confusing 3yr old season in a while

Uncle Mo's previous race told me all that I needed. He should have won by 10 and looked as if he needed to try a little just to win by daylight. Everyone is on the Dialed in bandwagon right now, but I can't take him. Although his late run was impressive, he would need the best trip ever in the derby to make that run. Also, if you look back at previous derbies, you more than likely need to be no more than 3 out at the head of the lane. Mine that Bird was the exception, but I try to forget that race ever happened. The Factor has been most impressive to me, but I think he needs a couple of these front runners to drop off the trail so they don't burn him up on the front end. Aspercel mentioned front wraps on Elite Alex? If that's the case throw him out. They don't put those on for show, and if he is running down in the front everywhere else, Churchill will tear his heels off by the first turn.

Thanks for the props on the front wraps that says trouble to me (though my filly may be wearing them when she hits the track again).

I'm not on the dialed in bandwagon, though I do think he's a nice horse, and I'm pretty much lost right now. I was all over premier pegasus because I'd thought he might have some value. So much for that now

I guess I'll have to wait and see how everybody works at Churchill...
I'm also sad about katmanblu. She needs to do well because bluegrass cat is my filly's daddy

Most people that haven't grown up around the track don't even know why they use them. Nothing like running over to the tack shop and buying vet wraps and 3m patches when your 8. Have you watched the Illinois Derby yet? The horse that won ran green as hell in the stretch, you figure that out and he may be something. The one thing that bothers me about all of these so called favorites is the "even" finishes in the stretch. I just need someone to show me they are Class. I haven't seen that at all yet. It's a shame Awesome Feather (2010 Champion 2yr old Filly) got hurt because she may have been able to work these colts.

She was amazing...
Hopefully shell be a good broodmare.

I was just a fan until this year when the boy got me liscensed and made me his mexican when I came to visit

but I'm all about learning, and now I know how to wrap for a race. I will say, he had to give me props last year when eskendereya showed up in the wood with wraps. I called that one.

I did see the fla derby and I did like the win, but much like the fla derby, it was slow. I'm at such a loss this year that I may just pick a horse out of a hat..

Maybe it will be a sloppy track and I'll just pick a grass runner that gets in via poly

you see first dude finally get his 2nd win? Poor thing had to go nw1 other than, but he got there

I meant ill derby. My phone is being a little shite about letting me edit

Yeah, to the public it looked slow. Look at the other times in races at Hawthorne. They were even SLOWER. That is why I think the Beyer numbers are under utilized, because that factors in. Keeneland is running like a merry go round right now and these horses are laying down 1.08 Flats in 6f. Even if the Illinois was slow, that horse ran green and won comfortably. The only reason the rider was hitting him is because he was trying like hell to keep him from going over the fence. I'm interested to see who Jerry Bailey likes. He is the best tv handicapper around. This whole group smells like shite except The Factor. An impressive win next week and I'll probably roll with him.

Well... At least he's grey. I have a thing for greys

when my computer stops being an a-hole I'll watch the replay. I watched on my phone at the barn, so maybe it'll look better on further review.

It really is a shitty year for 3yr oldS

and this time of year makes me miss home and keeneland

Beyer figure for Illinois derby was 93. The wood ran a 95. Not a big difference and uncle mo didn't run near a 93. Joe vann however isn't nominated for triple crown. That means a $250000 supplemental nomination.

I think I saw where they are shipping Mo to Louisville on the 18th. Im not sure why Pletcher is getting him there that early.
