Hey Rohan, I can send you the oaks and derby program if you want me to. The derby card isn't out yet though.

not trying to be an arse, but both videos show Master getting caught from behind on a shorter track.
I undertsand your explanation and like i said you two(Aspy) are more knowledgable than myself, but he was caught twice and once by a horse in this race on shorter tracks. What makes you think he can pull out a win on a longer track with overall better competition.

I liked him As a random shot until I saw his draw. I thought he may be able to sit off the leaders, but he's got too much speed next to him to not send.

He's a FABULOUS looking horse

Don't listen to me this year

I'm totally screwed up. I like his last race, and breeding. Plus, I'm sure he'll be getting lasix this time which isn't allowed in Dubai

Master was only in the first video. He did get caught by a FABULOUS filly from just off his flank. What I wanted you to see was the actual strides of the horses. I can't spot shadow it.

shorter track.

I assume you mean shorter distance? He has gone further than any horse in this race.

He hadn't raced in 4 months. He isn't going to be his best on that. He should improve off that effort. As far as competition goes, the filly that beat him in the UAE derby is probably better than most of this group.

I see what your saying, and yeah I meant distance. how about him vs track conditions?
Not only are we having an educated conversation but I'm learning some stuff too

yep, the filly that beat him is a solid horse. from Danzig sire line and also won the UAE Oaks at the same distance.

he's a turf horse, but i've heard he's taken to the CD dirt without any problems.

Not something usually related to a TD thread. As far as track conditions go, who knows, that dirt may hit him in the face and he quit. Good horses will run on anything. Just so we are clear, MOH may run like a pig, but at 30-1 I'll take my chances.

Bho i'm seeing a lot of people on blogs and forums who are really high on Animal Kingdom winning it. apparently he showed no problems with getting dirty in a 6f work and looked like the most comfortable horse in the CD slop so far.

his jockey was thrown today, fwiw. minor injuries.

Robby Albarado was injured in a pre race accident today. Broken nose and facial lacerations. May not ride tomorrow.
