I'll spell it out for you.

Tiger has never won a major when trailing entering the final round.

Granted, he will probably break the streak one day. Today won't be it.

Not sure what you mean here. I have to talked to guys who are setting up the course there. If DJ shoots 75 he probably still wins. SHooting that on SUnday after 2 guys shot 66 on Saturday is unreal at Pebble. Except if you 00 Tiger Woods. lol

Woods or Els winning would be boring imo.

I only say that b/c Tiger of the obvious and Els b/c I think he hasn't won a major since 94 or 97.

P.S. But I do agree that it's good for the game to have some "new faces" at the top.

with Tiger it typically means his game just isn't quite sharp enough that week to win...otherwise he'd be leading. This week may be a little different, primarily due to getting his swing back in decent shape after dumping Haney. He's looked better each day. If he continues to hit the ball like he did on the back nine yesterday, he'll win by multiple shots.

If he shoots a 75 and loses that is a choke. Unless he loses to McDowell. He has shot a 70,71 and a 66. If he gets out of control and shoots a 75 and say tiger shoots a 69. That is a Major choke.

On the way to pebble now. Just keep this stat in mind. Tiger has only shot in the 60's on sunday in a major when he needed it for a win ONE time.

I think with the way the leader board stacks up today, Tiger will need to shoot in the 60's to win and it aint happen ... No way ...

that's not the point. i said he has won after trailing after 55 holes and has won when going into sunday trailing. that's why the 54 hole stat is meaningless.

This post is meaningless. 54 holes is 54 holes.

Not sure this is correct. I thought Chris got it to one on the back nine. I know Tiger didnt lose a 3 shot lead in one hole.

Found it...

A thrilling final round came down to a two man duel between Tiger Woods and Chris DiMarco. DiMarco narrowed the three shot lead to one by the 11th with a second birdie in three holes after Woods had dropped a shot at the 10th. The lead stretched back to two when DiMarco bogeyed the 12th at the heart of Amen Corner, but a stunning approach on 14 set up a birdie for DiMarco and cut the gap back to one.
