I think I am retiring from starting DATs until next season after that shite sandwich.
You have my full support in making this decision.

Astros manager Dusty Baker with a rather ominous quote about Alvarez injury: "We’ve just got to to regroup and try figure out how we’re going to win some ballgames and get through this."
If he's out for any significant period of time, this team is done. 20% of our run production.

If it helps chase off Baker at the end of the season, then a lost season is almost worth it. I hope the Astros rebound and make a run. But I’m tired of dumb lineup decisions and one man seemingly holding the organization hostage.
With all due respect to Dana Brown, there is a reason the 3 GM finalists were two failed retreads and an older career-long underling. Nobody worth a shite wanted to come work here and get undermined by Dusty Baker.
And you can see in Dana Brown’s comments about Yainer’s playing time that Baker still runs the show.

Still not sure how you lose a one-run game with two of your hottest hitters not even getting an AB. Yainer since the start of May has a .871 OPS. Yet the old buffoon lets Maldy hit with a runner in scoring position down 1.
Or Dubon, who has been as consistent as possible all season. Nope. Not happening.
