2005 season (9-4) Boise (21-27) Loss vs Boston College (9-3) in MPC Computers Bowl
2006 season (13-0) Boise (43-42) Win vs OU (11-3) Fiesta Bowl
2006 season (13-0) Boise (42-14) Win at home vs Oregon State (10-4)
2007 season (10-3) Boise (10-24) Loss @ Washington (4-9)
2008 season (12-1) Boise (37-32) Win @ Oregon (10-3)
2009 season (14-0) Boise (19-8) Win at home vs Oregon

So since 2006 they're 4-1 against BCS schools? What's LSU's record?

You're in a worthless argument. We can sit and manipulate stats all day. Agree to disagree.

Boise State would beat LSU by 2+ TDs

Gotta disagree with that one. BSU vs LT with all their horses 10ptW.
LSU vs BSU w/o #1 QB and giving JL reps when rush game is working, 8pt W.

This is exactly my point. If I was a homer who didn't know anything about teams outside the SEC I wouldn't already know that Boise NEVER puts up big points against decent to good teams.

What do you call Oklahoma?

You are now backtracking from 2 plus tds to 2 tds. I have $50G I'd bet you with LSU getting 14, but everyone on this board and thread knows you wouldn't be willing just as much as everyone knows you are an idiot.

I was merely pointing out your idiocy to yourself because it has been my life's experience that idiots often are unaware that they are.

So are we now in a screaming match or something? You're big and bad because you'd be willing to be $50G on a mythical game that won't happen? That makes sense.

Agreed, the game won't be happening anytime soon so we'll never know and we're just wasting time.

The problem (IMO) with the Boise States of the world is that even when they play a good team out of conference they do not experience the wear and tear that takes its toll on a team that plays such as an SEC schedule. The weekend and week out beating that teams in the SEC has big effect on every next game and it builds up over the season. So just because teams like Boise State go undefeated and played one game against an Oregon or Va Tech is still not the same or equal to playing Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, SC, Florida, Auburn etc. because they still go back and play teams that are way below their calliber every other week.

All you can do it win each game you play. While I don't necessarily disagree there is more to it than that. IF BSU is getting a pass somehow or gaming the system, why doesnt' LSU just drop to the Sun Belt or C USA if it's that easy and seek a competitive advantage?

High risk high reward. LSU and other SEC teams play a tougher schedule are and rewarded for it. BSU has won the most games in the last decade, had at least 3 undefeated seasons and was never a condender for a BCS Championship game.

I 100% agree with this statement. Never said Boise could make it through the SEC unscathed but they can beat the BCS elite in one game.

Why are you going back to 2000? That has nothing to do with current teams; they were still building their program. Their record since 2006 against top 25 teams is better than LSU's.

Ditto as well. Add the random meaningless thought that the blue field does me in with respect too.

Making arguments based off the exception isn't very wise.

The TCU bowl last year was deliberately done so that people couldnt include them in this argument. Game was pointless. The winner of two unprovens is still unproven.

I like Boise State as a good but not elite program... but I'm tired of the still building the program argument. The whole offseason before 2005 the espn boards were over-run with Boise fans talking about how they were going to shock the world and take down UGA... they even started a UGA crow eating thread that went like 60 pages

Their whole point was the times they had been taken down by mediocre Arkansas and South Carolina teams were no longer relevant... and then teh season starts and UGA performs a group bukkake on their whole team

Good team? Fine, yes they are - maybe even top ten in their good years. Do they really belong in a top five discussion? No they don't
