Suzuki at 51 and PCA at 50. That's insane. They are also top 20 in HR. PCA at 15 and Suzuki at 14. Cubs have scored the most runs at 330. Second is the Dodgers at 314 and Yankees are third at 305.

The hitting has been beyond my wildest dreams, then ironically my Cubbies play the worst team in baseball and only score 9 runs in 3 games.....but they still sweep the punchless Rockies.

Yep but it’s nice to see the bullpen step up…even vs a AA team

I think it took the staff a while to figure out what they had and separate the wheat from the chaff, but I really think they have done it and have a solid bullpen. I also think eventually Brown will go to the pen and with that and if and when Hodge comes back, and one more addition at the deadline their pen could be one of the best in baseball by October!!

Yeah, i think the question is what happens when Shota comes back. Like you said, Brown to the pen? Only other option would be Rea. But only because he’s been so much better than Brown. The problem is I think they reeeeaally want Brown to be a starter in the future. Either way I think we need help in the rotation to be a real threat in the PS.
1. Shota
2. Taillon
3. Boyd
4. Rea
5. Horton

to me, he's the key...been really good so far

Brown needs to be the 8th inning guy...come in and throw it as hard as he can for 1 inning

I think Brown's pitch mix makes him better right now for max effort short reliever and I think his stuff's good enough for high leverage.

I fully expect the Cubs to be major players for a high leverage reliever and a front end starter before the deadline. I think Shaw's emergence has quelled the talk of getting a third baseman for now, which is just as well as the market is not very good at third.

He can’t throw strikes. That’s the problem. We got the 7th, 8th, 9th covered. He’s not moving into a high leverage spot

But not “trust the rookie in October” good. We need a deadline acquisition

Think the Cubs would accept an Ohtani for PCA trade? Or would the Dodgers have to sweeten the pot a little
