How did they get their current position then?

You don’t think that their current head coach or other former head coaches who they know wouldn’t help them with how to interview?

Coaches network massively so they definitely have people who can help them.

I feel like if you need to be familiar with the interview process to be a viable candidate, then you’re just a second-rate candidate anyway.
