Not even gonna bother reading the whole thread but our 3rd receiver came through. Murray is possibly a top 5 RB, just stay healthy please. O-line will only get better and they faced one of the better D-line teams tonight and Romo is still alive. Secondary looked really good for the most part, at least compared to what all of us are used to. Our LB corps and front 7 in general just look so much faster and more youthful. Pending injuries, it's gonna be a fun year for Cowboys fans I.

Unless I just jinxed us.

I grew up a Cowboy fan who watched my first game as a toddler with Eddie Lebaron as QB. So I have no investment at all in Bobby Hebert. I did graduate from LSU. I am also a Saints fan now, because Jerry Jones is a complete dbag.. The truth is Tony Romo is not a primetime QB. I would take at least fifteen NFL QBs over him when the playoffs are on the line. That is not an acceptable product for the second most valuable sports product in America.

The corners look good. Carter and Lee look solid. Ware did what Ware does. Spears looked good making plays off the bench. The Oline is shaky at times with weakest being Center. I don't like Smith on the left side but he'll have to adjust (he was playing Pierre-Paul afterall). Hopefully this is the Ryan defense we will see instead of last year. Year 2 looks very bright on D! Oh and Carr, worth every penny. Besides the obvious pick play that was not called.

Apart from your emotional love of the Cowboys what are you basing this on? His playoff record? His Superbowl Record? His record against winning record teams? You are absolutely on the wrong side of the facts.

I know it's week 1, but the pressure cooker doesn't get a lot hotter than that 3rd and 12 situation before the 2 minute warning...especially given our recent history of blowing leads vs the Giants. Dude has consistently been pretty clutch late in games for a while now. We didn't fall off the cliff last year because of Romo, that's for sure.

I would take Brees, Rothlesburger, Rivers (albeit barely), Ryan, Peyton Manning (in his current state), Brady, Schaub (again in his current state), Vick, Newton, Rodgers, and even Eli Manning over Tony Romo when it counts in a big game.

Can you read? Tony Romo has a horrible playoff record, a mediocre record against winning teams and has never even come close to a Superbowl. Which part of this is difficult for you to understand?

Cam Newton, maybe even Tebow. At least he made it to the second layer of the playoffs.

And who are the 15 guys with better playoff records, better records against winning teams and have come close to super bowls?

LINK

Romo's stats against good teams is pretty damn good.

you might want to do some re-checking of the facts for Vicks playoff record. Since being out of the pokey, it hasn't worked real well for him. And you know, since you seem to base a QB's worth ONLY on how well his team performs in the playoffs.
