The only chance for successful attendance would be if the stadium was located somewhere between NO & BR and was easily accessible for Northshore folks too. Don't think we'll ever see it.

NO.. N.O. barely adequately supports it's AAA team.. and is one of the LARGEST cities with a AAA team

Also, as another poster has already pointed out, having high attendance numbers for college sports could work against any professional team since there is only a limited amount of sports entertainment dollars to be spent for a given individual and people are already choosing to spend on the college product.

A third thing to consider is that the end of the baseball season coincides with the start of the NFL and college football seasons. End-of-year attendance for a baseball club located here would likely be atrocious.

So, anytime in the near future, the answer is most likely no.
