Miami didnt even make their conference championship. No way they should be in.
They also had an October loss at home and a November loss on the road to unranked teams in the final polls.
Vanderbilt’s losses were both on the road to ranked teams. ND had won 10 straight games after their poor start. BYU’s 2nd loss was in conference championship game. Tech might have BYU’s number, but more than 1 team can obviously come from a conference including teams not even making it to their conference championship game.

I believe it is more likely that ND was penalized for not being in a conference looking at the big picture. Idc if they put in a 4 loss Bama/ MIA or any other random team that is in a conference. The point to ND is "join a fricking conference" and I'm all for it. Hope this happens every year.
I thought the committee was supposed to pick the best teams, not try to force ND to join a conference. That’s not their job

Well if the argument was a conf championship loss shouldn’t hurt you, then yes BYU should be in.
Conf title games counted for every team except Bama. OSU dropped, Indiana rose, BYU, tumbled, UVA’s hopes were dashed…only for Bama did we hear that “it’s not fair”.
In years past, conf title games were always counted. FSU was barred from the playoff after winning their title game due to the eye test, in favor of—shocker!—alabama. Strange how Alabama seems to be the beneficiary.

No way they should be in.

Bama doesn't belon
This is the correct answer especially after getting beat by 21 points in SECCG!

Well, the SEC is going to divide up close to a third of the total monies that the playoff purse provides, so yeah, all is right. LOL

r then I dont see why they didnt do it a few weeks ago. Flipping teams around for bs reasons to get what they want.
They do this to create interest and build up. This is how they draw additional viewership to Game Day and their announcement show.
Creating controversy generates viewership which drives up ad revenue. Follow the money!
