Yet how many teams sat at home and watched that because their teams couldn't get there.

It was hard to take, but we were there to take it.

I think we'll be pretty good this year. Our bats should be very good, hopefully our pitching pans out.

First season since 1980 without Mike Martin at the helm for FSU. Anxious to see what Mike Martin Jr can do with the team.

Ditto for the lions. Feel like the team has the most talent ive seen in a while, but they are young. Our pitching is also new, with an old player as our pitching coach. So we should be able to put points up, however how many are we giving up.

Also think the tigers will be a surprise team, perhaps a only 2 loses in their first 15-20 games. Know they are top 15 but so many tiger fans are ready for coach to leave because we've been in this position before.

For the SEC it looks like Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Mississippi St, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and LSU will all be able to compete for a deep run this year. Conference is loaded this year.

Seems that Vandy and Arkansas are the preseason favorites, along with State and Florida after those two. Auburn is getting quite a bit of attention in the preseason so far. Georgia has some question marks but they have some great starters. Nobody really knows how LSU will be this season but we all know the potential is there. Ole Miss and A&M seem to be the next tier, and then the rest of the conference is just a big mess. Who knows what will happen in South Carolina.

My predictions for the SEC:

West
1. LSU
2. Arkansas
3. Auburn
4. Mississippi State
5. Ole Miss
6. Texas A&M
7. Alabama

East
1. Vanderbilt
2. Florida
3. Georgia
4. Tennessee
5. South Carolina
6. Kentucky
7. Missouri

Vandy, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Auburn, and State all host, and potentially 7 hosts with Georgia

Like stated in the earlier statement, it could be an awesome year or a shitsammich. But the more i research the lions, this is the most power we have had hitting in a while. This isnt just power hitters who strike out, this is having Ray at 2nd hitter behind lil artigues. This could be one of the least experienced pitching staffs in 15 years but Riser will have problems finding places to put productive hitters. Looks like he did very well in HS recruiting and fine picking juco or transfers.

Would love to make it out to Pepperdine one day for a game at their stadium by the ocean to watch the Waves.

re: College Baseball fans, how do you feel about your team this season?
It's opening day.

Here's one last offseason question to pass the time until the games start.

There are several D1 schools that don't sponsor baseball that are a little surprising.

Colorado (D2 baseball schools in Colorado are pretty good)
Wisconsin (Lower level schools in Wisconsin are also pretty good)
SMU (It's in Texas!)
Tulsa (It's close to Texas!)

I know there are others, those are just the first ones that I remembered.

What schools could compete in a pretty short time frame if they added baseball?

And what D2 programs could make the leap?

SMU seems like the natural answer to 1, but I think Wisconsin would be better than people would think.

As far as D2, Central Missouri could compete in some of the lower tier D1 conferences.

Cards opened up with a win over #18 Ole Miss in Oxford. Our pitching is arguably going to be the best in the country.
