Just more proof that he has no desire to play football anymore

It’s not about disrespecting the flag or the anthem though, right?

Almost every post on the Poli board makes me think this exact same thing
That’s fair.
But you can’t possibly defend this tweet, can you? Forgetting the fact that it’s absurd, what is he trying to accomplish with it? The country is divided, and though he’s not even remotely qualified, he has somehow been anointed to be in a position where people look to him as a leader. Why not use that to unite? He’s got just about all the NFL and media either genuinely supporting him or afraid to go against him—Where are his ideas? What are his proposals? What actual change does he want to take place? What concrete goals does he want to achieve and by what specific means does he want to achieve them?
“Justice” and “liberty” are abstract ideals to continue to aspire to, but they can never be fully reached. So what does he want? There is no better time than right now for him get things implemented—he has more support now than he ever has and likely ever will. Why isn’t he on 1st Take, CNN—everywhere, every day—articulating his positions and sharing his solutions with us? I’ll listen, I promise. I’m ready. Speak. But don’t just fricking tweet. The serious subject matter and 300+ million Americans it regards deserves more than a measly 280 characters.

Hey buddy..... I’m so tired of this POS..... I may be wrong but I think he has made more money (IN THIS COUNTRY HESEEMS TO HATE) by taking a knee on the sidelines than he did while actually playing football.( In the country he seems to hate). He wants it both ways. He should move to some other country and run his mouth like he does here and see what that gets him........

I’m sure we agree on more things. I tend to play a curmudgeonly character on here and enjoy playing devil’s advocate occasionally (though never trolling). But some things just piss me off so much the real “me” has to come out. I apologize for any past assholish interactions we may have had. I’m actually quite pleasant IRL.

I think what we all want and what we hoped for was that this was done a few years ago. I get that there is a message; I get that there needs to be some kind of justice reform; but to go after the institution of sports in this country...something that always united people and have even that divided; is too much for most of us. It’s destroying football. Mother fricking football. When the Saints won the Super Bowl, did anyone care who was black or who was white that night on Bourbon? Was there a care in the world?
Colin Kaepernick doesn’t want unity. There’s no money in unity. Unity means Kaepernick goes away for good.
