I think there is a big turnover in put crews in NASCAR, so it would be tough to have the absolute best. Obviously since he's won so much they must be doing something right.
I don't know. Seems, like the top dog could afford to keep top help on hand anytime, regardless of demand.
I'd guess that it is really difficult to be perfect in the pits and always have perfect pit stops, regardless of how good the crew is. These crews are so close in terms of time, that one mistake can make a big difference. Moreover, I think we (the viewer) have the expectation that Jimmie will be perfect on the track, whether he is or not. Meaning, that we will shift more blame to the crew and that we give Jimmie the benefit of the doubt.
To clarify, when one side of the cog is so damn good, it can make the other side look bad, even when the other side is actually pretty darn good too.

I haven't really paid attention, did anyone do the double this year?

No, I think the time constraints are too difficult under the current schedule.

So.... You don't need a drivers license to compete in NASCAR?

Why would you? You're not on a federally maintained roadway.

Damn Kyle Busch is one lucky sonofabitch. Why couldn't he hit a manhole cover too?

Harvick/Junior 4/5....I'm liking it...

No doubles this year in both indy 500 and coca cola 600. I think the last to do it was a few years back which was Tony Stewart. I believe the times have changed and made it too difficult to finish the Indy and then make it to Charlotte.
