that was bad.
the ump was lined up on the inside corner. he had no idea if that ball was a strike. these guys are terrible.

Ump was setup correctly, he just made a bad call. Salazar does a good job receiving the ball though and his frame jobs are very smooth

it was really bad. definitely away, looked like it could have been down too.
and whether he was set up correctly or not, it's harder to tell if a ball on the outside corner crossed the plate (especially when it's 3 inches off the outside corner) if you're set up on the other side of the plate.

that's a tough spot. i hate bunting, especially with maybe your best hitter at the plate. but in a game like this, where 1 run might win it, i can see laying one down.
