That’s not necessarily a positive indicator if you’re one of the few teams that’s actually playing for a national championship.

I get that Venables has a good gig and I’m not saying they should have turnover like Bama has, but it’s remarkable that they don’t have more attrition on that staff.

No one else would allow his D3 level kids to play like Dabo does. Doesnt matter against ACC teams but when you have Venables son coming in for neck roll in the playoffs you're fricked.

How many more times can that lb get ejected?

About to play year #6

I am Sure the 2 rings and 7th round contract will be worth the brain damage.

What players were NFL teams interested in on the Clemson defense?

It’s ok because Dabo puts the money in Chick Fil A bags, not McDonalds

Coach O keeps using bait shrimp bags to hand out money. He does realize those are clear and everyone can see the cash, right??

Short of an SMU-style scandal and punishment, you're right.

That shite is already going on. If you’re Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, LSU, Texas and about 15-20 other P5 schools, the NCAA doesn’t care. Those football programs would have to be committing criminal acts, or covering up criminal acts, for the NCAA to do shite.

Coastal Carolina, Memphis football, etc better be keeping their noses squeaky clean, though.

Bull shite, they wouldn’t even do that
Penn State was slapped on the wrist, and then the NCAA even came back and took back punishments

Well then there you go. If you’re Coastal or SMU, you’ll likely get the death penalty if you’re caught doing what the SEC, Big 10, etc football programs are doing for recruits. Meanwhile they can cover up child rape for years.

The dangerous part of this game is that people slowly turn away from the game over a long run of years.

To be honest, the entire AAC should be cheating 24/7. What are they gonna do, block you from a minor bowl? If you get away with it, then you'll likely build your brand and be asked to join "the club".

The best route to a playoff if you're in the AAC is to cheat your arse off and then become a major brand either as a whole conference or as a collection of teams.

It will be interesting to see our starting lineup on defense against UGA. Players like Turner, Skalski, and Spector are all intelligent players and very good against ACC opponents, but I believe they're at an athletic disadvantage against offenses with 5-star talent. The talent level on defense has increased after two consecutive top 5 classes. I won't be surprised if players like Turner and Spector, lose their starting roles to the younger but more athletic players. I believe the Ohio State game has opened Dabo's eyes to this.

Right this defense has given up 1100 yards or something in the last 2 playoff games it has played. I know some of the turnover from the LSU to OSU game, but OSU put up 50 on them with 10 minutes left in the 4th. So the entire D being back is good because some of it was extremely talented frosh, but some of those guys in the backend were getting cooked

At some point they’ll have to improve their basic arse offensive scheme. In 5 playoffs games with the future #1 pick, they scored more than 30 once. And that was only because Higgins and Ross made circus catches all night

Well, to be fair, he led Clemson to 3 wins in 5 of those games, scoring 40 plus against what, at the time was the greatestBama team and 30 against an undefeated ND team, and 29 and a win against an OSU team that Meyer said was the best in Big 10 history. 2 losses, On the other hand were against the two best teams ever in the history of the sport.

You're not wrong. Question is does the NCAA/ESPN folks want you to become part of that club? The P5 programs sure don't want another conference getting more chances at bowls with larger payouts.

So you can bet your arse that if LSU gets wind of Tulane doing what they're already doing to compete in the SEC, or Clemson/South Carolina getting wind of Coastal, somehow the NCAA is going to show up at the doorsteps of those G5 schools.
